Embracing sustainability, TOSTEM, part of PT LIXIL Aluminium Indonesia, participated in
IndoBuildTech 2024. TOSTEM's environmentally friendly pavilion, featuring the latest products and a public space for interactions, garnered a warm welcome from the visitors throughout the five-day exhibition.

The introduction of the waste station for plastics, papers, and cans also highlighted the visitors' enthusiasm for participating in the sustainability movement. Following the exhibition, a waste management community further processed the collected waste to produce a variety of recycled items to be reused. Along with the unfinished MDF board, recycled paint and furniture, also eco-friendly merchandise and tableware, TOSTEM pavilion successfully minimized waste production usually generated by an exhibition.

"TOSTEM's booth is always impressive, different from the others," said Mona Ratuliu while visiting with Indra Brasco. "We are content with the TOSTEM's products we used at our home because not only they look sleek and contemporary, but also our needs and challenges are well accommodated, including the excellent proofing against water and noise, not to mention the sturdiness during a windy day," Indra explained. While exploring the exhibited products, Mona Ratuliu reflected and expressed her satisfaction, "We chose TOSTEM from the beginning because it is kids friendly, so rest-assured, pinched fingers can be avoided, and we can step comfortably on the rail. All TOSTEM products are easy to operate while also providing excellent security."

"After we celebrated the TOSTEM's 100 Years of Wisdom, we start to think about what we can contribute to society for the next century. As a result, we launch PremiAL R100 which is a 100% recycled aluminum profile," Hiro Morokuma, Asia Region Marketing Leader from LIXIL Housing Technology Asia, explained. The introduction of PremiAL R100 is the initial step from TOSTEM towards the Circular Economy.

Morokuma also addressed that using PremiAL R100 could reduce 80% of carbon emission compared to using profile produced from new ingots. "We came to know that the construction sector accounts for 37% of global total CO2 emission. By using this product, we can really contribute to the conservation of the environment." Without compromising on the quality, function, and aesthetic, products that implement PremiAL R100 can be integrated as a design element in houses with sustainability in mind.

TOSTEM received positive response from the visitors and was granted awards from IndoBuildTech 2024, including the Best of the Best Residential Aluminum Windows & Doors as well as the Best Booth Experience. These awards motivate TOSTEM to become the industry leader and pioneering new
innovations for aluminum doors and windows.

In the pursuit of architecture innovation, TOSTEM ASIA Design Award 2024 winners will be announced shortly. Introducing two awards this year, TOSTEM ASIA Building of the Year 2024 and TOSTEM ASIA Best of Sustainable Living Projects, the competition aims to advance architectural creativity and innovations for better sustainable practice and living.
